Nine years of refinement design produced the 1993 Air Jordan shoe. In 1993, the
Jordans 9 series was released, Michael helped design the first Air Jordan but he never wore in the competitions. He has announced that he would turn his talents to the sport of baseball, and doing what he's always done - playing for the love of the game. But On October 6th 1993, Jordan gave the basketball world a shock when he announced that he has retired from the NBA. This was just only one day before the Training Camp and it was out of everyone’s expectation at this time. He is just only 30 years old. The reason maybe was that his father was murdered in North Carolina in the summer of 1993. The shoe has being released in a plain and sturdy style. And it was the first model that Michael did not wear in an NBA seasonal game (due to the retirement). The sole had lots of details and a large 23 was stitched at the back of the shoe. As Michael had placed the basketball on the curb so he decided to take on the game of baseball. A special cleated version of the IX's was made and that helped Michael a lot in his Birmingham Barons baseball career. So known as player samples, there was Air Jordan IX which was produced with not only #23 on the back, but also with individual numbers of other players such as Kendall Gill (#13), and Mitch Richmond (#2). And in 1993, the packaging came in a black Jumpman Box on those
Air Jordan Shoes, with brochures about shoes, Flight Club Membership Application and black plastic wrapper. But in 2002, it came in a Jordan's Face box, with plain paper wrapper but no retro card. And theya re on hot selling on our
